America Boats

Our church is involved in several opportunities to minister here in America.

We believe that planting churches in key cities is the best way to make an impact on a national level. You can be involved in this effort by joining one of our planned journeys or by taking a vacation with a purpose.

Currently we are partnering with two large cities in North America to plant churches and reach their areas for Christ, San Diego and Montreal. We are also involved in the ongoing effort to rebuild New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina.

Participants will be needed to prayer walk, survey new ministry areas, and help churches on launch Sunday.

Come with us as we fulfill our calling and reach our “Samaria”.

San Diego, California

America Sand Diego

San Diego is the seventh largest city in America. Ninety-five percent of its three million plus residents do not attend a church of any faith. The North American Mission Board and others have identified San Diego as one of the most strategic unchurched major cities in our country. If 1% of the unchurched people of San Diego County were to show up at church this Sunday, there would not be enough chairs in all the churches in the entire county to seat them.

Our goal is to help launch a church that will become a church multiplication center and plant churches throughout the entire region of San Diego.

We are partnering with Cross Church San Diego in this effort.

Please consider how God would have you partner with us to start this movement.

Spring 2008 Update: Random Encounters Not So Random

Anyone who's lived in San Diego knows Rubio's. The local Baja Mexican food chain is famous for its fish tacos. That's exactly why pastor Brad Graves and Bryan Claypool took Idlewild mission team leader Ken Jordan, to experience little Baja cuisine. Little did they know God had a divine appointment for them.

RubiosStriking up a conversation with Jeremy, the fellow collecting their trays, Brad asked if he was the manager. "I should be by now," he replied. "I'm just assistant manager. I'm not really where I want to be at in life. I guess I've made some bad decisions." He went on to describe some of his recent struggles.

Brad is not one to miss an open door. He moved into a conversational presentation of the Gospel. As he and Jordan answered some questions, right in the middle of the restaurant, Jeremy invited Christ into his heart.

The encounter is a reminder that there are opportunities all around us. How many Jeremys are out there, wrestling with past decisions? We pray that as our many mission teams visit in March, they discover a Jeremy everywhere they venture.

How You can Pray:

  • Smooth preparation for launch day
  • Continuing to make great contacts in area
  • Strategic mission opportunities for teams
  • Facilitation of new Portable Church system

New Orleans

America Working

Since the devastation of Hurricane Katrina our church has been in partnership with our local Baptist Association and the North American Mission Board to aid in the disaster relief for the Gulf Coast Area. This effort continues today with construction projects to help get residents back in to their homes.

Mission Opportunity

Our next opportunity to go to New Orleans will be June 21-27 2008.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

America Quebec

In all of Montreal's 3.6 million residents, there are less than 0.05% evangelical believers in Jesus Christ (15,000). This is the least of any metropolitan area in North America.

Our goal in this area is to assist with church planting and winning disciples for Jesus Christ from among students, internationals and Québécois in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

America Vining Family

We are partnering with Mission Montreal in this effort working with church planter, Lon Vining.

Journeys to Montreal will focus on evangelism and prayer walking.
